10060 - Not connecting to stream host
- Is the IP address prefixed with http:
- If so, please remove that.
- Are outgoing connections allowed by the SAM computer?Look at your encoder configuration. Under "Server Details", make sure you have included only the IP# or domain name of your SHOUTcast server. If you have entered http://, please remove it. (i.e. you should have something similar to cp1.digistream.info - without the http:// in the beginning)
On occasion, when changing the details of an already established encoder, SAM Broadcaster may try to use the old server details in conbination with your new one. A good rule of thumb is to delete the encoder with the old information, and creating a new encoder for each SHOUTcast server you will be using
10061 - You can't connect/Stream Offline
- This is a connect error code, not all that unusual for Audiorealm and Spacialnet
- 10060 and 10061 are problems with the server being down, connection refused, bad password, bad IP, or bad gateway.
- Please verify:
1) Is the DNAS is running - put the server address into a web browser, do you see the DNAS page?
2) Is the password you have is correct (verify by logging into the DNAS admin)
3) The DNAS is not already sourced - is someone else connected to the server? Put the server address into a web browser, is someone else already streaming?
4) The encoder has no http:// or other protocol prefix. Your server details for encoder should not include http://
5) Outgoing connections from SAM to the server are allowed. Make sure SAM is able to access teh internet
Open your stream URL in a web browser and verify that your server is up and running. If the server status indicates that "Server is currently down", that simply means no one is currently using the server to stream music. However, if your page indicates "Page not found", then your server is indeed offline. Simply log into your web-based control panel and turn it on or contact your shoutcast provider and ask for assistance in restarting your server.
