SAM Broadcaster Disconnects Frequently

Frequent disconnections can be caused by network interruptions, incorrect server settings, software conflicts, or the streaming server rejecting the connection.

Check Your Internet Connection

An unstable Internet connection can interrupt the encoder connection. Watch for other Internet applications losing connectivity at the same time.

Check the Server Settings

Verify the server address, port, password, and encoder configuration. Incorrect settings can cause repeated connection attempts and disconnects.

Avoid Multiple Encoders

Make sure another encoder, AutoDJ source, or DJ account is not attempting to take control of the same stream at the same time.

Check SAM Broadcaster Logs

Look at the encoder status and error messages immediately after a disconnect. The numerical error code can identify the underlying problem.

Check for Network Restrictions

Firewalls, security software, VPNs, or restrictive networks can interfere with persistent streaming connections.

Use the Knowledge Base
