What It Means
SAM attempted to connect to the streaming server but did not receive the expected response in time.
Error: SAM Broadcaster Error 10060
Possible Causes
- The DNAS/streaming server is down.
- The server address or port is incorrect.
- The password is incorrect.
- The server is already being sourced.
- The encoder contains an incorrect protocol prefix such as http://.
- Outgoing connections from SAM are blocked.
How to Troubleshoot
- Verify that the DNAS/streaming server is running.
- Verify the server hostname/IP and port.
- Verify the source password.
- Check that the stream is not already sourced by another encoder.
- In SAM, enter the host without http:// or another protocol prefix.
- Check Windows Firewall or security software for blocked outgoing connections.
- Try again after correcting one setting at a time.
Important:
Change one setting at a time whenever possible. This makes it much easier to determine what corrected the problem.

Additional Notes
If your hosting provider supplies the server address, port, and password, verify those values with the provider before changing server-side settings.
