What It Means
Windows could not resolve the server hostname to a usable destination.
Error: SAM Broadcaster Error 11001
Possible Causes
- The hostname is misspelled.
- DNS resolution is unavailable.
- The supplied hostname is incorrect or no longer exists.
- The local computer has a DNS/network problem.
How to Troubleshoot
- Check the server hostname character by character.
- If your provider supplied a hostname, copy it exactly.
- Verify that the computer has Internet access.
- Try resolving the hostname with Windows tools such as nslookup.
- If the hostname does not resolve, contact the hosting provider or DNS administrator.
- If an IP address is available, verify whether the service is reachable using the correct address and port.
Important:
Change one setting at a time whenever possible. This makes it much easier to determine what corrected the problem.
