First Determine Where Titles Are Missing
Check whether titles are missing in every player, only on a website player, or only for one DJ. This helps identify whether the source metadata or the display application is responsible.
1. Check the Source
For a live DJ, confirm the broadcasting software is sending metadata. For AutoDJ, verify that the media files contain usable title and artist information and that the AutoDJ output is configured to provide metadata.
2. Check Track Tags
Open a few affected files and verify their artist and title tags. Files with blank or unusual tags may produce blank or unexpected stream information.
3. Allow for Caching
Some players, directories, and web widgets cache stream information. Give the stream a moment after changing tracks and test with another player.
4. Compare Live DJ and AutoDJ
If titles work in AutoDJ but not during live broadcasts, concentrate on the live encoder's metadata configuration. If neither source updates titles, investigate the station output configuration.
Still Not Showing?
Provide the stream URL, source type, and an example of a track that should have displayed a title. This gives support a reproducible test case.
Still Having Problems?
If the problem continues after checking the items above, digiSTREAM support can help determine whether the issue is related to the encoder, AutoDJ, streaming server, or network.
- The exact error message, if one is displayed.
- Your streaming server port.
- Whether AutoDJ or a live DJ is currently connected.
- What changed immediately before the problem began.
- The approximate time the problem occurred.
