Audio Hijack
Audio Hijack Connected but No Sound (Mac)
Troubleshoot silent broadcasts caused by missing source blocks, routing and capture settings.
Inspect the audio chain
Make sure an audio Source block feeds the Broadcast block. A Broadcast block without a working audio source cannot send the sound you expect. Start the session and inspect any Meter blocks for activity.
Check the captured application or device
- Confirm the chosen application is actually playing audio.
- Check the input device, microphone permissions or application capture permissions as appropriate.
- Make sure blocks are connected and not bypassed or muted.
- Remember that a local Output Device block is only needed for monitoring, not for sending audio to the Broadcast block.
Confirm the listener feed
Listen through the public listener URL on another device. If the Audio Hijack chain shows audio and the Broadcast block reports a connection, but listeners hear silence, contact digiSTREAM with your source port and test results.
