Audio Hijack — Broadcast to digiSTREAM SHOUTcast (Mac)

Configure Audio Hijack’s Broadcast block to send live audio to a digiSTREAM SHOUTcast server.

Create an audio session

  1. Open Audio Hijack on your Mac and create a session.
  2. Add an appropriate audio Source block, such as an application or input device.
  3. Add the Broadcast output block and connect the audio chain to it.
  4. Add a Meter block if you want an easy way to verify signal flow.
Choose the Broadcast block for SHOUTcast or Icecast.

Enter your digiSTREAM server settings

  1. Open the Broadcast block’s Setup tab.
  2. Enter the server details provided for your SHOUTcast source, including host, port and authentication as requested by the interface.
  3. Select an MP3 bitrate supported by your digiSTREAM plan.
  4. Save the block configuration.

Do not use the public listener URL as the source destination.

Start and verify

  1. Run the Audio Hijack session.
  2. Check the Broadcast block’s status.
  3. Confirm audio flows through the session and listen through the public listener link.
