Audio Hijack — Song Titles and Metadata (Mac)
Configure track titles and station information in Audio Hijack’s Broadcast block.
Open the Metadata tab
Open the Broadcast block and select its Metadata tab. Set the station name and other static details as needed.
Choose a title source
Audio Hijack can obtain track metadata from supported Mac applications or from a Now Playing.txt file. Choose a supported source and adjust the title format. If your music player does not expose metadata, manual text or a properly maintained file may be needed.
Verify what listeners see
- Start broadcasting and play a new track.
- Check the Broadcast block’s metadata display.
- Check your stream’s listener/player display for updates.
Metadata display depends on the SHOUTcast server, source mode and listener software. If the title is correct in Audio Hijack but not downstream, compare the server’s reported title and ask digiSTREAM to investigate.
