BUTT
BUTT Connected but No Audio
Find why BUTT connects successfully while listeners hear silence.
Confirm the audio input
- Open BUTT audio settings and verify the selected input device.
- Play audio into that input and check whether BUTT’s input meters move.
- If meters remain flat, inspect your mixer, audio interface, system permissions and any virtual routing application.
Check routing and levels
BUTT captures live audio from an input. Playing music in a separate program does not automatically route that sound into BUTT. On macOS, a virtual audio device such as BlackHole can help route application audio; on Windows, a virtual mixer may be needed. Check that the correct input is selected and that levels are not muted or clipped.
Verify the public stream
- Confirm BUTT remains connected while audio plays.
- Open the listener link in another device or browser.
- If BUTT meters move but the listener stream remains silent, verify the server is using the intended source connection and ask digiSTREAM to check the server side.
