RadioBOSS Song Titles Are Not Updating
When listeners hear the music but see an old or missing song title, check RadioBOSS metadata settings and then confirm that you are viewing the correct listener stream.
Confirm the Current Track
First confirm that RadioBOSS is playing the expected track and that the title and artist appear correctly in the playlist or current-track display. If the information is missing in RadioBOSS itself, check the audio file tags or playlist metadata.
Check Encoder Metadata Settings
- Open Settings → Options → Broadcast.
- Edit the encoder used for digiSTREAM.
- Open the Metadata tab.
- Review the track-name submission and character-encoding options.
- Use Auto encoding unless your server or software configuration requires a specific character set.
Save the settings and reconnect the encoder if needed. Menu wording may vary by RadioBOSS version.
Check the Correct Listener Stream
Open the public listener link for the same stream your encoder is feeding. If the station uses AutoDJ, a live DJ port, or multiple encoders, make sure the listener page is showing the stream that is currently on air.
Allow for a short display/cache delay, then refresh the player or listener page. If audio changes but the displayed title does not, continue with the metadata checks.
Test With a Simple Title
Try a track with a straightforward artist and title using ordinary letters and numbers. If that title updates but titles containing accented characters or symbols do not, review the metadata character encoding. Avoid changing unrelated server settings while diagnosing a metadata-only issue.
If Titles Still Do Not Update
Send digiSTREAM Support the station/listener URL, the track currently playing, what title is displayed, and whether AutoDJ or a live DJ is feeding the stream. Do not include passwords.
