VirtualDJ Keeps Disconnecting or Stopping the Broadcast

Repeated disconnects can be caused by network interruptions, an unstable Wi-Fi connection, firewall/security software, overloaded hardware, or a server-side connection being closed.

  1. Use a wired network connection if possible.
  2. Watch whether normal Internet connectivity drops at the same time as the broadcast.
  3. Check Windows Firewall and security software for blocked or repeatedly interrupted VirtualDJ connections.
  4. Verify the server and port have not changed.
  5. Confirm your bitrate and encoding settings are reasonable for your connection.
  6. Close unnecessary applications that may consume significant CPU, disk, or network resources.
Do not repeatedly change several settings at once. Record the current configuration first, then make one change and test again.
